We are seeking a reliable and versatile CDL Class A Delivery Driver and Equipment Operator to join our team. This multi-faceted role involves the safe transportation of heavy equipment, operating various types of machinery, and assisting with general lot and building maintenance. The ideal candidate is a safety-conscious and organized individual with a strong work ethic who thrives in a varied work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport heavy equipment and attachments using a 1-ton truck and trailer combination.
  • Secure loads properly for transit, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues.
  • Operate and maneuver equipment, including skid steers, tractors, and telehandlers, for loading, unloading, and staging purposes.
  • Conduct daily runs, primarily within a 500-mile radius, with very few overnight trips.
  • Perform lot attendant duties, including organizing and maintaining the equipment and vehicle inventory.
  • Assist with general building and lot maintenance, including basic repairs and odd jobs.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and maintenance logs.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Proven experience driving combination vehicles, with a focus on safety.
  • Clean driving record with no history of serious traffic violations or accidents.
  • Proficiency in the operation of heavy equipment, including skid steers, tractors, and telehandlers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • A pre-employment DOT drug screening is required. A history of no drug or alcohol use is a strict requirement for this safety-sensitive position.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
